[2023/09/06 16:21] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Melancholy and a funeral. Hurrying out to seek the necromancers lair. A strange girl in the forest singing.
[2023/09/06 16:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: [2023/09/04 17:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Hummm... Mmmmm.... la-dee..." she rises and turns, brushing off dirt from a large mushroom. She looks up and sees you, her hand instantly flying to her waist, where a dagger is tucked into the hem of her dress. "Oh! Who are you?"

[2023/09/06 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: so, what happens next?
[2023/09/06 16:23] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at her. "Same question and what are you doing out here?"
[2023/09/06 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: She blinks and holds up a large dirty mass. "I'm out collecting mushrooms... like I always do... and... you are...?"
[2023/09/06 16:24] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Debben," she answers simply. "Exploring, getting the lay of the land."
[2023/09/06 16:24] Alicia Frakture: Leesha nods and points to Debben
[2023/09/06 16:24] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: She blinks. "That... doesn't look like any kind of mushroom I recognize."
[2023/09/06 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: "You're an expert on truffles?"
[2023/09/06 16:25] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): makes her way closer and listening to whats going on

[2023/09/06 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: You heard of truffles, you know they're found out in the wilds, but, you've no idea what the girl is holding. It could be a truffle.
[2023/09/06 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Danger? I've never noticed danger. I stay away from anything strange and anyway, I got my dagger."
[2023/09/06 16:30] Alicia Frakture: Leesha smiles,"Is that a truffle? ohh can i see? I've never seen one before just heard of them."
[2023/09/06 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: She hands over the pulpy white mass
[2023/09/06 16:30] Alicia Frakture: Leeshas face actually lights up.
[2023/09/06 16:31] Alicia Frakture: Are they usually this big?
[2023/09/06 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Not really, well, it depends... close to a village? No, everyone picks them. Out in the wilds, far from habitation? Yes, they can grow enormous if no one bothers them."
[2023/09/06 16:33] Alicia Frakture: Leesha hands it back politely. "That is so cool."
[2023/09/06 16:33] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): "if they grow that big out here, that is wonderful for the people of the village"
[2023/09/06 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: She takes the white mass back, it's definitely fungal in origin
[2023/09/06 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: "They are tastey, and are a delicacy, they can fetch a pretty coin or three."
[2023/09/06 16:35] Alicia Frakture: I believe it
[2023/09/06 16:35] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben ponders quietly, looking around the area for anything else in this little clearing.
[2023/09/06 16:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: You see mostly trees, bushes...
[2023/09/06 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: Well... and the girl, of course
[2023/09/06 16:37] Alicia Frakture: *What time of day is it?*
[2023/09/06 16:38] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): keeps up and stays close with Leesha and Debben , still fascinated with the truffles
[2023/09/06 16:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: Late afternoon. You're close by the area you should be in; it'll be getting dark soon, though.
[2023/09/06 16:39] Alicia Frakture: Mind if we just.. hang around. We wont interfere with truffle hunting.
[2023/09/06 16:41] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: How many hours would "soon" be?
[2023/09/06 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Of course? The truffles are easy to miss, just don't trample about the base of any trees." She kneels down and scrapes at the soil under a tree, near the trunk. Another white pulpy mass!
[2023/09/06 16:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: Times are always vague unless you start bringing time-pieces; it's probably 3-5pm, about an hour or two from sunset
[2023/09/06 16:42] Alicia Frakture: /me checks carefully at the base of a tree, if she sees a truffle she will point it out. With her luck she wouldn't want to screw it up.
[2023/09/06 16:43] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "It's getting close to dark so we'll likely be setting up camp soon. Easier to do that in the light." No sign of the big tower so far?
[2023/09/06 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: You notice readily that some trees have some pulpy masses in the soil, say a random 10% or so
[2023/09/06 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: Are you asking about the tower?
[2023/09/06 16:45] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): takes notes of the tress we get near that had the huge truffles were at to see if there is a pattern, "Setting up camp sounds like a nice idea"
[2023/09/06 16:45] Alicia Frakture: Leesha points out the truffles to the village woman
[2023/09/06 16:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: if there's a pattern to truffle growth, good luck finding it!
[2023/09/06 16:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: She looks... "too small... that looks okay... think that one might be poisonous... ugh, that's just a stone..."
[2023/09/06 16:47] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "So if you're from around here, what do you know about old towers nearby? We thought one might be a good place to set up camp for a bit."
[2023/09/06 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Old towers?" the girl frowns. "There's one over that way... just over that hill... not sure anyone goes there, it doesn't look very welcoming."
[2023/09/06 16:51] Alicia Frakture: Sounds like a fixer upper
[2023/09/06 16:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Dahlia, Debben?)
[2023/09/06 16:56] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Unwelcoming, eh? Any particular reason?"
[2023/09/06 16:56] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): "It might not be welcoming, but it is of interest. thank you for pointing out the direction in which it might be found", she then took to making notes again before looking to Leesha and Debben
[2023/09/06 16:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: "It's a bit run down, you know... no one has lived there in many years," the girl says
[2023/09/06 16:58] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "And no one has wanted to fix it up?"
[2023/09/06 16:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Not that I know of!"
[2023/09/06 16:59] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): "that is strange that noone would wish to take over the property"
[2023/09/06 17:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Not -that- strange; places fall into ruin all the time for various reasons)
[2023/09/06 17:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: (this is far out in the wilderness, no obvious reason for anyone to set up home here)
[2023/09/06 17:03] Alicia Frakture: We could.. check it out. Be a nice place to fix up.
[2023/09/06 17:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: "It's just beyond that hill..." she points
[2023/09/06 17:04] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): "I think that is a good idea too, and quite willing to go, should we head there now or wait?"
[2023/09/06 17:04] Alicia Frakture: *Leesha is trying not to let on there might be some big bad in the area.*
[2023/09/06 17:04] Alicia Frakture: We can go check it out right now
[2023/09/06 17:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: you should easily get there before it gets dark.
[2023/09/06 17:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: so, setting off?
[2023/09/06 17:06] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Might as well move to take a look at the thing.

[2023/09/06 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay, it's a short hike up a low rise, and there you see the tower rearing up behind some trees and bushes, like a big rotten tooth, low and squat, as high as it is wide, with few windows, even fewer that aren't boarded up.
[2023/09/06 17:08] Alicia Frakture: Leesha smiles to the girl and waves.." Have a good one, hope you get plenty of coin for those Truffles
[2023/09/06 17:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: The girl follows, close by. "You might need some help... and it has got late, best not to split up..."
[2023/09/06 17:10] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): "Your company is very welcome", she would say to the girl as they travelled
[2023/09/06 17:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Did she give her name yet?
[2023/09/06 17:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: The girl nods, smiles, her hand at her hip, staying back.
[2023/09/06 17:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: No, and you ignored her request too :P
[2023/09/06 17:11] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at her."Okay, My name is Leesha what's yours?"
[2023/09/06 17:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Cassandra, pleased to meet you!"
[2023/09/06 17:12] Alicia Frakture: *Debben did tell her name*
[2023/09/06 17:13] Alicia Frakture: Leesha sighs."Okay Cassandra, do me a favor. If something bad happens run away back to town, find a lady named Grumph and let her know I sent you."
[2023/09/06 17:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: The girl nods. "Right. Gumph, okay."
[2023/09/06 17:15] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: How's the trip up the hill?
[2023/09/06 17:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: You'll be at the tower in ten minutes at most.
[2023/09/06 17:17] Alicia Frakture: They trundle forward to the tower
[2023/09/06 17:17] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Nice to meet you too, Cassandra," Debben adds, somewhat distracted looking forwards to the castle, trying to see it before sundown.
[2023/09/06 17:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: The tower is somewhat forboding looking, with a large door with what look like big statues of demons guarding the entrance.
[2023/09/06 17:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: and BONG we have a cliffhanger!
[2023/09/06 17:19] Alicia Frakture: oh nice cliffhanger
[2023/09/06 17:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: I'll see you all tomorrow
[2023/09/06 17:20] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "No wonder they think it's unwelcoming," Debben comments.
